Save any YouTube thumbnail in full HD. Paste a link, preview every resolution — free, no signup.
Only download thumbnails for videos you own or have permission to use. Thumbnails belong to their creators.
In the YouTube app, tap Share → Copy link. On desktop, copy the address bar URL. Shorts links work too.
Drop the link into the box above and press "Get thumbnails". The tool reads the video ID from any YouTube URL format.
Preview every available resolution and download the one you need — Full HD for design work, smaller sizes for quick reference.
| Label | Size | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Full HD | 1280 × 720 | Design reference, re-creating a similar style, presentations |
| SD | 640 × 480 | Blog embeds, documents |
| High | 480 × 360 | Quick previews, lists |
| Medium | 320 × 180 | Thumbnails of thumbnails, fast loading |
Not every video offers all four. YouTube generates the 1280×720 version only when the uploader supplied a high-resolution custom thumbnail or the video is HD — older uploads may top out at 480×360. Missing sizes are skipped automatically.
Thumbnails are creative work and belong to the video's creator. Downloading your own thumbnail, or one you have explicit permission to use, is fine. Lifting someone else's thumbnail for your own video or article without permission can violate copyright — and on YouTube it can also mislead viewers. Use this tool responsibly.

Up to four: Full HD (1280×720), SD (640×480), High quality (480×360), and Medium (320×180). Not every video has all four — older or low-resolution uploads may top out at 480×360.
Thumbnails are copyrighted by the video's creator. Downloading your own video's thumbnail, or one you have permission to use, is fine. Reusing someone else's thumbnail for your own content without permission can violate copyright.
